Board Certified Allergy & Immunology Dr. Baswell graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. She went to medical school at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She completed her residency at Albany and went on to do her Allergy/Immunology fellowship at National Jewish Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She served as a Medical Officer in the United States Army and was involved in 2 other fellowships, pulmonary medicine and clinical pharmacology during that time. She is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is also a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She has published research on theophylline and its absorption. Dr Baswell has been in Colorado Springs since 1984 and has been providing excellent care to both children and adults with asthma, allergies, chronic sinusitis, hives, food allergies, and anaphylaxis. Her impeccable reputation is preceded only by her outstanding service to our community
Board Certified Allergy & Immunology Dr. Eric Caplan grew up in Colorado Springs and is thrilled to be home again! Dr. Caplan graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995 and from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1999. He went on to do his residency in Indianapolis, at the Indiana University Medical Center. He attended the Medical College of Georgia for his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship. He had the privilege to train under Drs. Betty Wray, Dennis Ownby, William Dolen, and Philip Smith. Dr. Caplan is a Diplomat of The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and The American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. His interests include childhood and adult asthma, hay fever, food allergy and eczema, and chronic sinusitis. He also takes special interest in evaluating the immune system in patients who have had "too many infections" or children who are "always sick". He practices with care and compassion and takes time to ensure each patient has a satisfying office visit.
Certified Physician Assistant Kathleen Warner is a board certified Physician Assistant. She is a 1998 graduate of The George Washington University Physician Assistant Program in Washington, D.C. She joined Colorado Springs Allergy and Asthma Clinic in 2000. She grew up in a small town on Long Island in New York State. She met her husband while she was a nurse in the US Air force. Her husband is now retired from the Air Force. They have one son who is currently in college. She will see patients for routine follow-up visits and also for sick visits that require immediate attention. She wants all of her patients to know that works very closely with Drs. Baswell and Caplan and will consult with them should the need arise. She has been a fantastic addition to our practice and has proven to be an excellent provider!
Certified Physician Assistant Marianne Leahy was born in Rochester, NY. Her career in the medical field began in 1987 as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Biology from SUNY Potsdam in 1991. After working for a few years in the field of cancer research, she decided to become a Physician's Assistant. In 1996, she graduated from the Albany-Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program. |
