PROFESSOR CAPLAN!

We wanted to Congratulate Dr. Eric Caplan for being promoted to the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He has been involved with the University for years and has worked with medical students in his office. He loves teaching and is excited about new possibilities in the future.

FeNO!

Colorado Springs Allergy and Asthma is pleased to announce the arrival of our NIOX MINO Airway Inflammatory Monitoring System. This is a new lung function test that measures the amount of nitric oxide in the airway which can reflect inflammation or swelling in the airway. This is a fun and painless test which involves blowing into a mouthpiece attached to a computer for a few seconds...that's it! This will be yet another tool to help the providers evaluate asthma control and titrate medications based on the individual patient's needs. We are comitted to personalized therapy at CSAAC and this new test will help our asthmatics acheive optimal control. Ask about it at your next appointment!

Welcome to Colorado Springs Allergy & Asthma Clinic

Mission Statement:

At Colorado Springs Allergy and Asthma Clinic, we strive to provide outstanding care for people of
all ages in a warm and friendly environment. Our goal is to maximize the quality of life for every
individual we see.

Conditions We Treat:

  • Allergic Rhinitis (Hayfever)
  • Asthma
  • Food Allergies
  • Eczema
  • Chronic Sinusitis
  • Hives
  • Immune Problems

For our patients with hayfever we aim for optimal medical and immunologic control of allergic symptoms. These include runny nose, congestion, post-nasal drip, sneezing, itchy nose, itchy and watery eyes, scratchy throat, throat clearing, itchy ears or ear popping and can also include recurrent sinusitis or ear infections especially in children. With reliable allergy testing we can identify allergens that cause these problems and discuss the latest treatment methods available including immunotherapy (allergy shots). Remembering that avoidance is the number one treatment for any allergy, it is critical to identify exactly which allergens are likely causing the symptoms. With appropriate care, our patients can once again enjoy the beautiful outdoors that Colorado has been generous enough to provide.
